Working closely with both the customer and their carpenter, Roberts Upholstery designed and manufactured a complete set of made-to-measure outdoor cushions that complemented the bespoke seating area perfectly.
Because the seating had been custom built, standard cushions simply weren’t an option. Every cushion was individually measured and handcrafted to achieve a precise fit, ensuring a seamless finish across the entire seating area. This collaborative approach allowed the design of the seating and upholstery to work together, resulting in an outdoor space that feels cohesive, practical, and professionally finished.
To create a luxurious appearance and exceptional comfort, each cushion was manufactured using substantial 12-inch dense seating foam. The generous depth of the foam gives the seating a contemporary chunky look while providing excellent support for everyday use. The finished cushions not only look inviting but are built to maintain their shape and comfort over time, even with regular use.
The cushions were upholstered in a premium waterproof outdoor fabric, specifically chosen for its durability and ability to withstand the changing British weather. Designed to resist moisture, fading, and general outdoor wear, the fabric ensures the seating remains attractive throughout the seasons while requiring minimal maintenance. Combining hard-wearing materials with expert upholstery creates an outdoor seating solution that’s both practical and luxurious.
